Most members of the current Board of Directors have been doing an outstanding job. See the list of 2008 accomplishments on the "Who to Vote For" page. Way to go Jerry, Jim, Rick, Ellen and Susan!!! Thanks for volunteering your time and your efforts for all of us homeonwers, we appreciate it especially given what you have to put up with.

Now we really aren't generally interested in our political opponents personal lives, but this is something we thought all the Menifee Lakes voters should know and we just couldn't pass this up.
Lookie what one of our readers has found and alerted us to!!!!
Seems as if this candidate Harris is advertising himself on more online dating services. You might remember, the old menifeetruth team found an online dating service profile Harris created on www.plentyoffish.com that was discovered in November, 2006. Harris' story on that is that it was just to find a "pen pal". Well, this time its the Thai Dating Club, Meet Asians and Meet Thai Girls. Seems now he's looking for a "good Thai girl"!!! Seriously, OMG! Isn't this guy married with kids? Take a look at the Thai Dating Club's purpose (click here). Doesn't look like they are really setup to arrange for "pen pals"!
You'll notice on his profiles that he lies about his age, he lies about his marital status, he lies about smoking, he lies about where he lives, he refuses to acknowledge that he has kids. Seems like the only thing he doesn't lie about is his job -- "semi-retired"! Well, that might be a lie too -- it should be "forced into retirement because of my bad behavior".
Now, you might be wondering if this is something he is actively participating in or was something from his sordid past. Well, as of last week, he was one of the last 20 people to log on to the site. Check it out! (also see the note at the bottom of this News entry)
One of our readers even received communications from Mr. Harris in the form of a "smile" he sent to her as he attempted to make contact with her through this Thai Dating Club website. Notice the icons he attaches to the "smile" -- two little smiley figures with hearts above their heads. How cute! He sent this to her 3 times 11/3, 11/4 and 11/6. Thank you Maymeesu!
Now is this the kind of guy we want on the Board of Directors??!!

Now, it's TWO ALTERCATIONS in a week for our pal Don Harris and POLICE HAD TO BE CALLED AGAIN! (and these are just the altercations we know about) We suspect he's looking to try to bait someone into a fight (of course his ass will be kicked) and then he can claim assault. Here is what we know from witnesses about this latest incident.
Don Harris showed up barefoot and with video camera in hand, at Wheat Field Park at about 10pm on Tuesday, 10/28. He confronted and began to video record and harass the softball team that includes several of our residents and Board members. He accused them of something and was then politely asked to leave. The team showed great restraint as he threatened at least one our residents who told us that Harris told him, "I know where you live and you better watch out."
Does this guy EVER do anything but irritate, harass and try to intimidate people in this community? Is there any doubt about his anger management problem?
Is this the kind of individual we want on our Board of Directors??!!
What a disgrace.

Well, well, well, there has been YET ANOTHER ALTERCATION between Don Harris and an innocent HOA member.
This occurred at about 6:30pm on Tuesday at the Wheat Field Rec Center as the member showed up to attend the Annual meeting.
Once again, the guy (Harris, a Board member for crisakes) that has 2 RESTRAINING ORDERS against him is confronting and trying to intimidate members of our HOA. Our guess is that this will result in yet ANOTHER RESTRAINING ORDER against him.
The Police had to be called, they detained him for several hours and nearly hauled him away! From the first hand accounts, his anger management issues were displayed in their full glory as the responding officer had to tell him several times to "shut up!". He even tried to sneak away once (with the excuse that he had to go to the bathroom) and the officer told him to act like a "big boy" and hold it!
We think all members should just go ahead and file a preemptive RESTRAINING ORDER against this menace, just to make sure he doesn't bring an attack against you. Heck, his own wife had to file a RESTRAINING ORDER against him some months ago. If his own wife thought she had to get a judge to keep him away from her...we should all be on guard and may want to have the authorities involved beforehand.
He continues to confirm his anger management issue, as the number of confrontations between him and others in our community that have taken place over the years, continue to mount.
Undoubtedly, the innocent HOA member will be filing an official complaint with the Board. We can only hope this poor guy doesn't sue our HOA because of this Board Member's behavior and threats. If he does, then once again, Harris will be costing us legal fees, a possible special assessment, and if we don't get him off the Board soon, the HOA's insurance could even be in jeopardy.
When the police report becomes available, we'll post it for your information.

As expected, not enough members sent in their ballots and the Annual Meeting and election was adjourned without new Directors being elected. This means Harris is STILL ON THE BOARD! Com'on people, you've got to send in your ballot and get this lying, manipulative, disruptive and destructive element out of our affairs.

The HOA has piled on some additional Causes of Action in its lawsuit against Don Harris. It seems the Board has decided they must act on some of the very unsavory, if not illegal, activities and behavior of Don Harris. It's a matter of the real public record now. We've been waiting for this since we think its the Board's absolute responsibility to try to recover some of the damages he caused. According to our crude calculations, we think the total damages are well into the six figures and could be as high as $200K! According to the documents we've presented here and Harris' own sworn depositions we have the transcripts of, most of new charges have been admitted to by Harris. Now, ask yourself, does it makes sense to vote for someone who is alleged to be responsible for costing the MLMA HOA so much of your money?!

The Contempt case against Don Harris for violating the Restraining Orders in place against him has been delayed. It's not all bad since its likely that he'll do it again before the hearing comes up providing even more evidence against him.

There were some signs observed around town that are discouraging any vote for Don Harris. Cool. We don't know who is putting those up, but whoever you are, keep up the good work. BTW, there are several candidates that seem to support Harris -- Judy Hyneman and Phil Spatflora (or something like that). Please be sure to avoid these candidates when you vote.
